Menchetti Firenze - Cocktail Bar & Pizzeria: Authentic Tuscan Pizza and Cocktails Near Uffizi

This is kind of a “hidden gem” in my opinion. A very unique and cool (literally) outside area with good food and better service. It’s very convenient as you leave the Uffizi. Good views and lighting at night too.

Definitely a go to spot in Florence. Service was nice. We ordered a bottle of wine an got a free side dish. A combination out of pizza and paninis! The location is fresh and got a several fans. Feels great here!!

The food was really good — we had the tuna pizza and a panini with pistachio, mozzarella, and salami. Didn’t try the desserts. Staff was friendly overall, but one thing really bothered us: the chef was smoking right next to our table. We don’t smoke, and it was very uncomfortable. In most of Europe, there are designated smoking areas — it would be great if they respected that here too.

After a bit of sightseeing and shopping, my partner, our friends, family member, and I decided on this casual establishment attached to a bakery for a lunch break from the hectic itinerary of Florence last September. Located behind Piazza della Signoria, and after a close to 30-minute wait, we got a table at Caffe Menchetti in the corner under the stone arches on their outside covered patio. It was a cool and lively vibe surrounded by plenty of greenery. The extensive menu featured pizza, pasta, and panini. We decided on various salads (La Salutare, La Tonno), Pizza Tapas, and La Formaggi. Each dish showcased exquisite flavors, expert culinary craftsmanship, and healthy portions. The pizza boasted a perfect balance of toppings atop a thin, crispy crust. Service is a bit slow. Our server only took care of us if we motioned for him to come to the table. Prices were very reasonable. This was a very pleasant meal and held a nice place as a hearty bite for hungry patrons.

We came here one night in December of 2024. It was a little chilly outside but the presence of heaters made it bearable. The service was ok. We found it friendly but a little slow. The atmosphere is fantastic, especially out on the patio. The margherita pizza we got was fantastic and even better cold the next day. Definitely worth stopping by for a delicious dinner or lunch. 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Nice place near by COIN, have many items in the menu for breakfast and lunch Nice coffee and juices pizza is good and all pastries taste good Service is a bit slow, waited for a while to get one coffee and one croissant Prices are ok servers are ok , you can take away too Just at the exit of the Uffizi Museum in Florence Seating is outdoor, very nice with nice display of cakes and juices inside they sell whole cakes too quality is excellent

Highly recommend for food or cocktails, very cosy atmosphere beautiful place in great location. The waiter was fast with delivering orders and spoiled us with free snacks. We’ve visited this place few times and it didn’t disappoint.
